So if you have been following this blog, then the next couple are no strangers to you.  Phil and Nicole are both dear friends of mine.  So when they asked me to take some maternity pictures for them I jumped at the chance.  Also, for those who don’t know, I am going to be Corbin’s Godfather.  So I am very excited about that.  Hence the huge discount on the shoot! HA HA.  I look forward to meeting Corbin, and will post pics when I do.

I wanted to experiment with some quick effects that FCP has, so Lisa and I took a stroll through Bishops Orchards in Guilford.  We filmed for about 20 minutes and this is the result.  Hope you like it.  Much more to come!!

Two of my good friends Phil and Nicole are expecting a baby.  You may remember them from their Trash the Dress that was quite controversial.  I asked both of them to come over to let me try out a new toy for my camera.  Of course, they were good sports about it, and came over.  Thanks guys!  But I was playing around with the footage (very limited footage) and put together this short (very short) film about two people expecting a child.  This is an unofficial blog post, but I think that Nicole and Phil would like to see it.  Can’t wait guys!!

So one day in early spring me and Steve Depino decided to check out Pleasure Beach in Stratford.  Steve had never been there and we heard that the State is going to be knocking down all the buildings and clearing it out.  So we wanted to try and capture what was left at Pleasure Beach and for people to see that these where once homes.  We hope you like it.  Please comment.

So Lydia played model for me at the beach last weekend, and she did a great job!  She was a good sport considering it was pretty cold on the water.  But she did awesome.  Check out this quick film of Lydia taking a quick walk on the beach.

Many of you have not seen what me and Mike had to go through in order to get these great shots!!!  Here is a look at a few shots, and another version of the controversial Trash the Dress session.  The concept for this Trash the Dress was completely new, and to be honest was more of an experiment amongst friends at first.  But it caught on like wildfire (pun intended), and it was discussed vigorously on some of the web’s leading Wedding websites.  Some including: The Knot, Weddingistas, The Wedding Bee, and many more.

Style Me Pretty Wedding Shoot!

I was fortunate enough to have Steve Depino allow me to tag along on his shoot with Style Me Pretty. I took some footage and am putting together a VERY short video. I like shorts. They make a BIG impact, and people really like them. Many couples today are opting to help the enviorment and choose to do E-Vites, or E-Save the Dates. Its a modern day thing to do. And it helps the enviorment!

Vegas!

So I just booked a trip to Vegas with a buddy of mine.  Staying at the Wynn, and planning on taking my 7D and seeing what I can get on film. Planning on hitting the Hoover Dam, and some other stuff.

Apple’s iPad is here!

New Haven Engagement Videographer

So the long awaited iPad is here!  Well, not here yet, but will be here in 90 days.  I am excited about it, but want to wait to hear some more news.  I was disappointed to see that there is no camera on the device.  To me, that was surprising considering the technology is there.  It would also enable Skype to be used, and other apps I am sure.  Also, I am surprised that they have not made it a phone as well.  I could see using this device as a phone in my car, or something…   Lastly, why only one app at a time. Apple has no reason not to be able to run multiple applications like Android, etc.

My final take on this new product is “Stay Tuned”.  I think the 2nd Generation will have many improvements.  I still want one though!
